Wedding photojournalism

Melissa and Charles

Melissa and Charles got married on the Englefield Estate which must be the most picturesque church setting with its own mansion and deer park behind it! Melissa is a wedding photographer herself so it was a privilege to be chosen by someone with a photographic eye and she was fairly well behaved as promised to her husband – I only spotted her picking up a camera 3 times! After the ceremony, we proceeded to Ufton Court for drinks on the lawn and were entertained by an opera singer and by Melissa herself – a multitalented lady, she had been secretly practising the cello to surprise Charles who had been urging her to take it up again. The reception meal was in the tithe barn with fairy lights and a deep sea theme because of the couples love of diving. In the evening, sky lanterns lit up the sky which was the first time I’ve seen them and they were fab!

Just back from honeymoon and wanted to say a big thank you for doing such an amazing job shooting our wedding. You completely took any potential wedding photography stress out of the day which I am particularly grateful and thankful for (as is Charlie!)

It has been great to come back and see your blog which has certainly helped ease the thud back to reality. We completley love so many of the pics (particularly the black and white close-up of us on the steps and the one of us coming out of the church amongst many others) – we are both really looking forward to seeing the rest to bring back even more of the fun memories!

Thanks so much again for your tireless, brilliant, creative shooting and for enabling me to resist having to pick up a camera (well until you were gone anyway ;-)

    Cheers

Totally beautiful pictures! I love the richness of the colours and you truly capture the essence of fun on everyone’s faces. Thank you for all the hard work on the day, and for being so mindful of what we wanted. Many thanks Corinna (sister of the bride)

Fjona these look amazing! Talk about capturing the moment so accurately.

You were fantastic on the day. The perfect balance of being assertive and making sure we did what we were supposed to, without being too bossy! (Like Mel – ha ha!!)

Can’t wait to see the rest of the photographs

    Best wishes

    Kaley Gardiner
