Birmingham protest again Israel’s flotilla attack

As is happening all around the world, palestinian supporters of Birmingham responded rapidly to the sad news of the flotilla by taking to the streets. Speakers stressed the injustice of an apartheid like system in the border area, encouraging people to boycott Israeli products just as people were called to boycott South African products during the apartheid there. There will be a march in London this Saturday at Downing Street and then onto the Israeli embassy.

Jenny and bump

My friend Jen gave birth at midnight to Noah. Can’t wait to meet him! This was her a couple of weeks ago….

Stephanie and Matthew engagement shoot

Steph and Matt brought Pixie and Chester with them to the shoot…but left at home the 5 cats! They all seem to get on quite well, maybe cos the cats are almost bigger than the dogs so have the upper hand! We did a split urban/country shoot before Steph had to head off for her [...]

Tom and Lottie

These guys are old friends, having witnessed their romance blossom, so I knew I could have a play with them and they would let me have a go with my zany ideas. So after having caused a spectacle by lugging bits of truly retro granny furniture into a field and a bit of big flash, [...]

Jennifer and Ian’s Wedding

The day started off with a battle with the elements in the hills around Edinburgh. The boys, being true Scotsmen, howled ‘my eyes, my eyes!’ in the wind and rain. They managed to keep their eyes open for a few shots! Then off I trundled in the VW van, named Flora, to Jen’s which was [...]

Samera and Humzah

Samera and Humzah had their religious ceremony in December and in May had a reception meal to celebrate their civil marriage. Blue salwar kameez’s were flowing round the house in the rush to get ready and then we attended a restaurant in Manchester for a meal, complete with a beautiful stand of cupcakes which were [...]

Emma and Adrian Engagement shoot

Emma and Adrian came for their engagement shoot at Hampton Manor. I’m so looking forward to their wedding as they are really into reportage style photography and are having a lovely informal wedding in their back garden. They’re going to start their day having breakfast together and everyone is getting ready on different floors of [...]

Zimbabwe Association Birmingham

I’ve recently started a project looking at the reality of the asylum process. An asylum seeker is someone fleeing from their country because of threat to their life from persecution. NOT to be confused with the media’s misrepresentation of economic migrants wanting to steal our jobs. These people are at real threat and do not [...]

Jennifer and Ian vintage shoot

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this shoot, our lovely Jen and Ian were just such a laugh. Jennifer and Ian are tying the  knot May in Edinburgh with a vintage styled wedding so  Jen brought down her wedding wellies to model. I’m a proud owner of pink Hunter wellies so I was [...]

On holiday in Kenya

My exhausted husband needed a well earned break so we skipped off on a last minute package deal to Kenya which was amazingly cheap! James is just about managing to tame me to a lazy holiday, I barely disturbed at all with my childish requests of  ‘lets do something!’ We’ve already travelled around this area [...]
